A typographic postcard I created after spending a bit of time in this beautiful, peaceful corner of Berlin. The photograph was taken on one of my cycles along the river and the asymmetric typographic design inspired by much of the beautiful minimal design I saw in Berlin.
I love the sense of satisfaction I get from sign painting. Creating something beautiful with my own two hands. I enjoy the process, the patience required, building up the layers until the entire image is complete. Its an escape, from the chaos of life and a troubled world- the subject of this piece.
Monday mornings traditionally leave people feeling blue. This Monday morning I was feeling particularly happy and these dancing a's came to life. Random- but sometimes that's just the way my brain works!
Frustration and creative block led to this lettering piece. As usual some sketching and doodling pulled me through. The result- this little reminder to keep plodding on.
